• Location: Huizen, Netherlands
  • Year: 2022
  • Client: Esse Skincare
  • Role: Project Architect
  • Scope:

Our role was to develop a comprehensive interior design package, including fabrication and construction drawings, to meet a fast-tracked deadline for a flagship store opening in the Netherlands.

All components were to be locally manufactured in South Africa and shipped abroad for final assembly. This demanded a high level of coordination between our design team and the on-site team abroad, who verified dimensions, existing services, and site constraints.

The client underwent several design iterations during the process, requiring agility and clear communication throughout. The store comprises a reception area, retail space, and boardroom at street level, with a lower-level training facility for technicians and a suite of private therapy rooms.

We collaborated closely with the client’s branding agency to ensure visual alignment and coherence across all design elements. The project was delivered successfully: on time, within budget, and most importantly, true to the client’s ethos and vision.

    Our deliverables included:
    • Interior design development
    • Spatial layouts and technical drawing sets
    • Renders and visualizations
    • Furniture documentation for local fabrication
    • Construction and fabrication documentation
    • Ongoing technical consultation
