Esse Skincare – Retail & Therapy

When and Why do I need this Service?
If the client needs a re-design or re-configuration of interior spaces only, that is without changing the external appearance of the building by adding or removing doors and windows, this qualifies as interior design.
Interior design means the design of interior spaces and custom elements that support the function and feel of a place. The focus is on well-resolved spatial layouts taking into consideration natural light, air flow and human circulation patterns; careful material selection; and bespoke fittings or furniture that enhance use and atmosphere.
The quality of light, proportions, and ergonomics are key considerations, ensuring that spaces function well, look good and also feel comfortable.
What sets interior design apart from regular architectural design is that most of the time, no local authority submission is required, meaning once the design is documented, the client can begin construction.
We have designed interiors for a number of projects such as therapy and wellness spaces, retail environments, educational interiors, coffee shops, spaces for worship and reflection, and residential work. These are often small to medium scale interventions where details carry weight, and the experience of the user is central.
This service is closely linked with Feasibility & Concept Design, where early spatial intent is explored, and Technical Documentation, where final detailing and construction information are developed.
Methodology
Before undertaking an interior design, we establish the status quo by performing a measured survey of the existing asset(s) which includes detailed mapping of services. Thereafter, we develop an accurate digital model which forms the basis for the interior design work.
In conjunction with the client’s brief the architect then develops the design, and communicates this through the use of mood boards, drawings, 3D images and a 3D model.
Client Deliverables
