When and Why do I need this Service?
Conditional assessments are a critical first step in establishing a project’s status quo, helping to identify constraints, risks, and budgetary considerations that may directly influence future Masterplanning or design development. We have undertaken large-scale conditional assessment work for public infrastructure, private educational institutions, commercial and residential scale projects.
Methodology
Conditional assessments involve detailed visual inspections and evaluations of existing buildings to determine their current state, functionality, and potential risks. A wide range of analog and digital survey equipment is used depending on the requirements. Inspections and analysis are typically non-invasive and non-destructive. Assessments are formalised in structured reports, often supported by annotated photography, drawings, and expert referrals where required.
Client Deliverables
Architectural conditional assessment report, containing photographs and a status quo analysis of each component of the building asset. The purpose of the report is to provide an objective overview of existing conditions and to highlight risk areas or items. This assists the client in understanding what underlying conditions are present prior to any repair, restoration or alteration.
